“Can we read,” Hadria asks quietly. She barely remembered how to read, having been thrown out to fend for herself.

Charles nods, “Yes, we can read.” He starts to lead her downstairs, to the library so they can pick out a book.

“Thanks,” she responds quietly. She didn’t mind wearing a dress and pushed her thoughts from her mind though she still felt guilty.

Charles smiles gently, “Do you want go watch a movie now, or do you want to read?”

Hadria smooths over the dress and retied her bow and opens the door, giving Charles a smile. She was used to wearing a dress anyways.

Charles smiles back at her. “You look very good,” he holds out his hand to her, seeing if she would hold it.

This was impossible but she knew she needed to find out more. There seemed to be a few books and during the first week, she had been told her parents were killed, great, so she’s not only an alien, but an orphaned alien, okay then. She had started doing research on a place called Gallifrey and could find very little on the subject and was making her way to an antique book shop to purchase what seemed to be a history book.

Mun wrote a letter in Old High Gallifreyan. Not sure if I’m even correct but okay.

Hadria digs through the bag of clothes and grabs the jumper and a t-shirt, dressing slowly, half wrestling with the dress.

Charles comes out of his room before walking to go check on Wesley. Then he went to Hadria, knocking on her door.

Hadria nods, keeping quiet before heading to her room. She felt guilty but really didn’t want them to see that fact. She had hidden her emptions for so long it was too much of a regular practice so she didn’t consciously know she was doing so.

Charles pushes Wesley out of his room so both had to go get dressed. He sighed as he pulled on his cloths, worried about what Hadria might be thinking now.

“Okay,” Hadria replies. She didn’t see the sad look on either of the twin’s faces but felt like it was her fault Charles nearly got punched.

Charles kisses the top of her head before pulling back and crouching down. “So, how about you go get dressed, we can all get dressed, and they watch TV and eat and get fat.” He smiles wide at her, trying to show her everything will be alright.
